TECHila Law is an independent technology governance practice helping boards and organisational leaders oversee, govern and assure the technologies they increasingly depend on.
We are grounded in South Africa and Africa while engaging with the global technology landscape, regulatory developments and emerging standards.

Techila Law provides research-driven, rigorous technology governance and advisory for boards and organisational leaders, offering independent specialist thinking to complex technology questions. We combine multidisciplinary expertise spanning technology, law, cybersecurity, digital rights & systems thinking. We are globally experienced and engaged, while grounded in local African realities.
Independent by design
We do not sell technology platforms, cybersecurity products or implementation services. That independence allows us to work without a commercial interest in what is ultimately purchased or deployed. We give decision-makers an independent specialist perspective on complex governance decisions.

Dr. Keketso Kgomosotho is the Founder and Executive Director of TECHila Law. He leads the firm's work at the intersection of technology, law and governance, with a particular focus on AI governance, cybersecurity, digital rights and emerging technology risk.
His work sits at the intersection of technology governance, law, risk, human rights and institutional decision-making, with a particular focus on how organisations can govern emerging technologies responsibly as their legal, operational and societal implications evolve. This work is grounded in the South African and African context while engaging with international regulatory developments, emerging standards and global technology policy debates.
He holds a PhD in Ai Governance from the University of Vienna, an LLM in Public International Law and an LLB from the University of Pretoria. He is an Attorney of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa, with experience spanning corporate legal practice, advisory, international law, technology governance and digital rights.
Dr. Kgomosotho was named one of Mail & Guardian's Top 200 Young South Africans for his work in law and justice. He has also received numerous academic and professional awards.
